Low-E coating
A thin, nearly invisible metallic layer reflects outdoor heat away during summer and helps retain indoor warmth during winter. Low-E glass can reduce solar heat gain and limit UV exposure.
Argon gas fill
Argon is a safe, non-toxic, odorless gas that is denser than ordinary air. Sealed between the panes, it slows the movement of heat and cold through the glass.
Insulated glass units
An IGU uses two glass panes locked together with a specialized spacer and sealed edge. The system helps reduce drafts, condensation, outdoor noise, and temperature transfer.
Texas summer comfortReduce solar heat transfer through the glass.
Lower utility demandImproved insulation can reduce the workload on heating and cooling systems.
UV protectionLow-E coatings can help reduce fading from ultraviolet exposure.
Quieter homeInsulated glazing can soften neighborhood and traffic noise.
